While residing in North Carolina, she also served as part-time faculty at both Central Piedmont Community College and Gaston College in Charlotte, NC.

Dr. Hidalgo-Ferrer’s passion is being allowed to take part of her client’s journey of growth and helping them find joy in being their authentic selves. She believes building a strong working relationship with her clients is essential in creating change. Her theoretical approach includes utilizing evidence-based practices such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), play therapy, and solution-focused strategies, while also using a psychodynamic approach with a focus on attachment.
